Since October 1, 2023, the city of Balti has successfully implemented a modern contactless fare payment system for public transport. The project covers more than 70 vehicles—primarily trolleybuses—equipped with Cube validators. Passengers can pay for their rides using Visa and Mastercard bank cards, as well as smartphones with NFC functionality. The project was carried out with the support of Moldindconbank and Mastercard, and is part of a transport fleet modernisation program financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The implementation of the system has improved the comfort and convenience of travel for residents and visitors of the city, while also optimising revenue collection and transport management processes.

In Vinnytsia, a large-scale project to automate fare payment in public transport has been successfully launched, covering more than 630 vehicles: trolleybuses, buses, trams, and electric buses. To ensure passenger convenience, over 430,000 personalised transport cards have been issued and are actively used. Payments can be made using both bank cards and transport cards, with Mikroelektronika validators and driver terminals used to process transactions. The project was implemented with the participation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the local enterprise "Vinnytsiakartservice." This solution marks an important step toward the digital transformation of the city’s transport system and the advancement of cashless payments in Ukraine.
